Teachers

Rev. Othene Munson, Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT  E500  T500, with the Yoga Alliance, Level 2 Usui Reiki Practitioner and  Angel Therapy Practitioner® (ATP) , certified by Doreen Virtue, brings a unique perspective and style of teaching to the practice of yoga, drawing upon her background as a corporate trainer, human resources professional, fashion model and global yoga instructor.She has studied with renown masters such as Ramanand Patel, John Schumacher, Kathleen Pringle, Patricia Walden, David Swenson, Ana Forrest, Aadil Palkhivala, Baron Baptise, Jonny Kest, Manuso Manus, Doug Swenson, Rodney Yee, and Steve Jacobson for two decades, refining her own practice and teaching methods. She completed the Ashtanga Teacher Training workshop with David Swenson with further Ashtanga training from Manju Jois. She has spent time studying at the Sivananda Ashrams in Paris, California, London and the Bahamas. Othene has organized and led Spiritual Trips to Peru, Arizona, Hot Springs NC, Costa Rica, Greece and to Egypt and is currently planning an Eco Safari Yoga Trip to South Africa. She remains committed to her own practice and continues to take teachers training and workshops on a regular basis.



Beth Passehl shares her experience, humor and warmth as a yoga instructor (pending certification as a registered Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher), family wellness coach and ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer. She has worked in a variety of settings in the healthcare field for the past 27 years with two Masters Degrees in Marriage & Family Counseling. In the past 11 years, she has specialized and become recognized as a leading statewide and national expert on the prevention and intervention of childhood obesity.  Her current interests in womens health issues are motivated in large part from personal experiences with a hormonally impaired household with her own menopausal moon stage and two teenage children.

Diane Prosser : 

Diane Prosser is a daily, seasoned meditator who was introduced to meditation by a youth minister.  Her meditation journey became deepened as she dealt with issues relating to her son’s disability and her cancer experience.  Her yoga practice complements and augments her meditation.
 
She draws on a diverse educational background as a in-house trainer for an international biomedical company (Atlanta, GA), a promotional consultant for a leading cosmetic company (Augusta, GA and Aiken, SC) and an instructor for a national modeling agency (St. Louis, MO and Atlanta, GA).
 
She has had training in different meditative settings including Kripalu (Lennox, MA), Ananda Yoga and Meditation Retreat (Sierra Nevada, CA), Monastery of the Holy Spirit (Conyers, GA) and is involved in ongoing contemplative development at the Ignatius House Retreat Center (Atlanta, GA). Further development of her meditative exposure includes attending conference sessions with Fr. Thomas Keating, Fr. Laurence Freeman, Gary Kraftsow, Stephen Cope, David Nichtern and Barbara Benagh.
